My name is Rivonia, I’m a third year medical student and am passionate about the promotion of neuroscience and exploration of the brain to the Leeds stem community. As an individual, I believe I am a dedicated part of a team who is able to articulate information to the wider public in new and innovative ways. I have had experience in this throughout my education, creating posters, PowerPoints and FAQ pages as well as working in mentorship roles in order to share advice and insight participation. In these endeavours I have had experience using PowerPoint and canva and feel I can create a brand for the society that allows for greater outreach and interest in such a brilliant, educational society. When looking at the instagram page currently kept by the society, something I think would really create interest would potentially be some ‘did you know’ facts alongside MCQs that correlate to the subject being discussed in a future talk. This may allow students to get interested to learn more about the topic, increasing engagement and interest in the society as a whole. I’ve attached an example of what I could potentially do on canva in the theme of the Brainleeds logo and hope I can help bolster the societies outreach through its publicity.
