Having joined Brain Leeds last year, I have frequented and enjoyed many of the wide variety of events that were available. As a Pre-clinical rep, I'd love to get more people involved with this society. I also have a lot of ideas that I'd like to contribute with such as discussion/ sharing of neuroscience news to increase the regular engagement of the society. I'm a committed and relatively organised individual, and It would be an honour to be pre-clinical rep this year!

Hi! My name is Thelaxini, and I am a 3rd year medical student with a budding interest in neurology, and would like to join the committee this year as Preclinical Years Rep.

I believe I have the necessary skills to fulfil the role, as I have previously acted as Secretary in another society. I was a point of contact for any queries, gathered feedback from our events and brainstormed ideas of how we could improve, as well as circling reminders to engage others to attend our conferences. I aim to create a comfortable environment for feedback from preclinical year students, to ensure we are continuing to facilitate useful and enjoyable events.

With this previous experience and my optimism, I am confident that I would be a great asset to the team.
