My interest was stimulated during my involvement as a Data Collaborator in a service evaluation and clinical audit study, investigating Delays in Multiple Sclerosis diagnoses in the UK and ROI (DIMES). I look forward to gain more experience and delve further into Neurology and Neurosurgery, by being part of BrainLeeds as the Education Lead.

I believe I am suitable for this role due to my excellent communication skills, high level time-management and prioritisation abilities. As both Men’s Captain and Secretary of LMDBC last year, my roles involved handling any admin related to the club, managing the team playing in tournaments and organising sessions for the club to practice. This has helped me to build on my communication skills through regular meetings with the committee and members of other medical school badminton societies. I have been responsible for sending out official communication to advertise and promote events in the society through WhatsApp, notifying members and non-members of any event taking place. Moreover, I have set up clear and concise Google Forms for the tournaments that have taken place, ensuring effective communication between participating members and committee members who have organised the tournament.

This year, I am one of the Media Directors of British Tamil Medical Association (BTMA) for 2024-2025, as well as the Social Media Rep of Leeds Medics Oncology Society. My responsibilities so far include preparing marketing material for events, as well as ensuring important communication received from the public through the societies' social media are communicated to core committee.
