The social media secretary is the creative voice of the society, responsible for designing eye-catching marketing material and promoting upcoming events across platforms. They keep members informed and engaged by posting regular updates, as well as taking and sharing photos or videos before, during, and after events. The role involves tracking ticket sales when needed and developing marketing strategies to boost engagement. The social media sec should also stay on top of Instagram DMs and notifications to ensure timely communication. Having some proficiency with editing services (such as Canva) is recommended for this role and has previously been used to great effect.
