My name is Haris Hussain and I wish to run for President of LeedsISoc 2023/24, if Allah wills. Some facts about me: I was previously President of ISoc in 2021/22, I am currently a fourth year medical student, الحمد لله, and I enjoy spending time with friends whenever I can.

Expanding on my first fact about being President in the past - I would love to run again to progress the ISoc further into how it should be. The ISoc this year has been fantastic and I would want to build on the work done this year to bring an excellent experience for the Muslim Students. Some things I wish to do are:
- A restructuring of the ISoc committee
- Reviewing the ISoc Constitution and changing where necessary
- ISoc Retreats
- Themed Dinners
- More talks that benefit the Ummah on campus
- Build a good community
- Become more self-sufficient إن شاء الله (there are plans I have thought of but need to think more into it إن شاء الله)

I know some goals may seem far-fetched, but anything is possible by the Qadr of Allah.

Assalamu Alaykum, My name is Sana Malik and I will be running for President. I am currently a 2nd year medical student and the current Vice President Sister of ISoc. Being a part of something that is bigger than me and serving the muslim students on campus has always been something that is close to home. ISoc for me this year has been life changing. When you surround yourself with like minded people and those who only wish to do good and to serve their communities, the result is always something beautiful. ISoc has helped me and so many others feel connected and at home. As someone who has moved so far from home, this year ISoc has been my ‘home away from home’. It is something I feel privileged to have been a part of. Having been able to create and deepen the bonds of sisterhood and community this year, it is something that I would love to continue doing. Through having an active role within ISoc and being involved with the running, organising and leadership of most events, from the weekly Halaqah to larger scale socials like welcome dinner, I feel that I am well equipped with the experience of a full year on core committee. Having had the responsibility of Vice President Sister this year, my leadership skills have also improved greatly. My vision for ISoc has been the same since I have started on the committee and that is to see the muslim community on campus thrive. I envision doing this through continually working on community, unity and education. I hope to represent ISoc with Ihsaan and pray that inshallah you all join me on this journey.
