Hi,
My name is Lisa.
I study IHP ( International History and Politics).

I’m a strong advocate for the human rights for all. I believe we are not free till we are all free and that means standing up for everybody’s rights regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality etc.

Growing up, I’ve always been passionate about social and political issues. I’ve been involved with the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn and attended many protests calling for Climate Action , BLM, supporting Refugees and trans/ LGBTQ+ rights.

I believe I’d be a good fit for blog editor as investigative journalism is something I’m interested in as a career path. And in sixth form , I used to write for our school newspaper. I think overall writing for the blog would be something I’d really enjoy and be passionate about doing.

Hi I’m Lucy, a 3rd year Geography student.

I’m applying for the role of Blog Editor as I’m passionate about both human rights (particularly issues of sustainability and women and girls’ rights) and writing and would love to combine this at Amnesty!

Although I now study Geography, I have studied English Literature at A Level where I developed excellent written communication skills and a great eye for grammar (I often am the editor for my group projects at uni!)

I am also looking to go into the NGO/charity sector after I graduate and believe this opportunity would be really useful to help further develop my communication skills!
