Hey Guys! I’m Hannah! I have been involved in gymnastics for around 12 years now and I have always loved the sport. I had to reduce my training when I was 14 due to injury, so I decided to become a coach, near 6 years later I am working in the WORLDS BEST CLUB (Leeds gymnastic club of course) as a level 2 general gymnastics coach and level 1 acrobatics coach. I started at the university of leeds in 2020 studying Sport Science and Physiology, as soon as I came to university I joined the gymnastics society, and this has given me the opportunity to grow as a person, meet new people, travel the country for competitions and let me re-live the enjoyment I experienced when I was younger. I feel I am a very friendly and approachable person and those are key qualities I believe your social secretary should have, I want to be available to for all of you to come and talk to whether it’s gymnastics related or not. Working at the club I can easily communicate with the coaches that regularly take the classes (sometimes I may even be taking the classes myself) so we can work to provide you the most fun sessions. Whether you want to be the next top gymnast or just want to give it a go, I will be there to make that possible for you. I want to make sure you can all attend as many training sessions as possible, you feel you can progress as much as you want to, if you want to do competitions I’ll be there to work along side the competition sec to make this all possible and run as smoothly as possible. Gymnastics is a sport for everyone, no matter you background, so by voting me I want to make the society known right through the university, encourage as many people to come to our training as possible

CHIARA BUNCE FOR TRAINING SECRETARY. ABOUT ME: Currently I’m a first year Genetics student. I trained in artistic gymnastics for around 14 years. I’ve competed internationally for both Great Britain and the Slovakian federation. I’m lucky to have trained and competed with the best gymnasts in the world as well as gaining incredible experiences and journeys around the globe. This year already allowed me the opportunity to grow as an individual thanks to the people I’ve met in the team.// WHY I’D BE GOOD FOR THE ROLE: I have experience with volunteer coaching at Heathrow GC and have worked closely with a few top GB judges. I have found myself to already have good relationships with many of the coaches at LGC and therefore can openly communicate my thoughts on how to make training as fun and enjoyable as possible. This society has brought back my love for the sport (I never thought would happen again) which I aim to help others possibly in the same position as I found myself in. I believe myself to be a friendly and approachable person to which will allow those with concerns, opinions and suggestions, gymnastic related or not, to talk them through with me so I may do my best to help. I hope to assist gymnasts as best as possible with the help of experience and understanding of the sport. // WHAT I BRING TO THE TEAM: I am a confident and enthusiastic team mate with a strong passion for seeing others succeed especially in the sport that has been interlaced throughout my life. The future committee members will have my help wherever needed to bring the best for the society. My aim for this year would be to bring more inclusivity and encourage as many as possibly to create a bigger and better UOL team.
