Overview: The Treasurer of University Golf Society is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the society. This role requires a person with excellent financial management skills and a strong attention to detail. 1. Managing the Society's Funds: The Treasurer is responsible for managing the society's funds, including collecting membership fees, managing expenses, and keeping track of income and expenditures. This requires maintaining accurate financial records and creating reports to be presented to the society members.
2. Budgeting: The Treasurer should work closely with the society's committee to create a budget plan that aligns with the society's goals and objectives. This includes forecasting the society's financial needs and creating a plan to allocate funds appropriately.
3. Financial Planning: The Treasurer should also work closely with the committee to plan and organise events and activities that align with the society's budget and financial capabilities.
4. Risk Management: The Treasurer should be aware of any financial risks that may arise and take appropriate steps to mitigate them. This includes creating a plan to handle financial emergencies and ensuring that the society's financial activities comply with any relevant regulations.
