My name is Louise and I go by the pronouns she/her! I'm a first year student studying Philosophy, Ethics and Religion at the University of Leeds.
I would love for you to vote for me for the position of Training Officer. So far, I have taught in 2 schools, with a total of 5 individual classes ranging from year 7s to year 13s. I have learnt so much from these lessons and I have loved giving these young adults the important information they need. This experience has made me realise that I would love to develop a career in sex education.
I'm wanting to spread my experience and knowledge onto the next team of budding sex educators !!

Hello! My name is Sarah Roberts (she/they), and I am very pleased to nominate myself for the position of Training Coordinator for Sexpression. I am 24, in my first year of a Medical Sciences degree at The University of Leeds and have recently come out as non-binary. As a young person I suffered as a result of inadequate and sometimes non-existent relationship and sex education, and I believe no young person should experience that. Over the past couple of years, I developed a keen interest in sexual health and sex education and I am interested in it as a career in the future, hence why I initially chose to join Sexpression!

I am applying for Training Coordinator because I would love the opportunity to share my own knowledge and give new volunteers everything they need to feel confident when teaching relationship, sex education, and LGBTQIA+ topics to young people; and I would endeavour to provide meaningful feedback and any additional support they need. As I am already familiar with the training process, I feel I would be able to confidently deliver training, as well as communicate new ideas for improving engagement and accessibility. This position would also give me the opportunity to continue my own personal learning journey, allowing me to be as up to date as possible on important and relevant relationship, sexual health or LGBTQIA+ related news.

Being a Training Coordinator for Sexpression would be a truly fulfilling experience, where I would be able to share knowledge and advice in a fun, inclusive and accessible way, ensuring that young people receive reliable and up to date sex education from well-informed volunteers.
