Hey everyone!
I’m Victoria (she/her) and I would love to be one of your Welfare Reps next year! I have so much love for this society and it has absolutely made my university experience! I am excited to continue to create an inclusive community where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported. In addition to the incredible work layed out by our current welfare reps, I would focus on improving welfare for not just our cast members but for prod teams and committee members too! I would also love to see a wider variety of socials like some sober socials as well as cheaper / more accessible events. To this role I would bring my experience of being the Welfare and Careers Rep for the Geography Society this past year. I have run welfare drop-ins, signposted members to support and helped to improve our health and safety procedures. I would love to provide more support to MT members on topics such as audition nerves, imposter syndrome, building resilience and managing stress through posts, resources or even workshops! Joining MT was by far the best thing I’ve done at uni and I am so happy to be a part of it! I would love to be a Welfare Rep next year and channel so much energy and love for this society into being on committee and making MT the best, most supportive it can be!

I'm Amelia and I would LOVE to be a welfare rep next year.

MT society has helped shape my first year at uni in SO MANY ways. Most importantly I've had a large group of supportive, friendly and wonderful people to guide me through it. This support is something I want to carry through to everyone next year. I have plans to include more non-drinking socials with a focus on welfare, keep the brilliant welfare hours & make the concept of individual sessions more known and accessible - with formal welfare advice being readily distributed to those who need the further support.

MT has kept me almost sane in a year that was full of anxiety, fear and the general stress of a first year at uni. I would love everyone to feel as supported and safe as I did, whilst experiencing what this FANTASTIC society has got in store :) !!
