The Treasurer is responsible for managing the financial affairs of the HR Society, including budgeting, record-keeping, and financial reporting. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring the financial sustainability and transparency of the organization, as well as supporting the execution of society activities and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Develop and maintain the society's budget in collaboration with the executive committee.
  • Monitor income and expenses, ensuring adherence to the approved budget.
  • Track membership dues, donations, and other sources of revenue.

Record-Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including receipts, invoices, and bank statements.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for the executive committee and general membership.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and reports for auditing purposes.

Banking and Transactions:

  • Manage the society's bank accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Process payments for expenses related to society activities and events.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including authorization protocols.

Fundraising and Sponsorship:

  • Collaborate with the executive committee to identify and pursue fundraising opportunities.
  • Assist with the development of sponsorship packages and proposals for potential sponsors.
  • Maintain relationships with sponsors and acknowledge their contributions appropriately.
