Hi Everyone! My name is Zoe. I’m currently a third year student majoring in Law, and I would love to be the advocacy secretary for this academic year.

Advocacy is something I’ve been involved in almost all my life. I debated in the Hong Kong Debating Association, participated in numerous Model United Nation events, and also mooted during my first and second year. In my first year, I was a finalist in the junior division. In my second year, I placed first in the Senior mooting competition. Having been a new mooter myself, I understand how daunting competitions can be. However, along the way, I found a love for the research, practice, and advocacy that is involved in a moot. It also solidified my career path as an aspiring-barrister. Thus, I would love to arrange more inter-university and intra-university mooting-related events and provide more support along the way (for example, practice moots, skill workshops, etc) to encourage the participation of more students. With my experience and passion for advocacy, I believe that I can successfully lead seminars, provide resources, and host events to help other students improve on their advocacy, legal research skills, and provide support for mooting events.
