Hi! My name is Janine and I am currently in my first year studying Biology!

My aim is to lead and support the committee in running FoBSoc to make it a friendly and fun community for all students :)

I want to implement new ideas for events, workshops and activities including
more non-alcoholic events and academic-related events or workshops whilst maintaining the fun socials we have. I also aim to introduce collaborations with other related societies so you can connect with and get to know more people!

I have had experience being on a committee for a society (British Chinese society) and will be the vice president for this coming year, so I know how a society runs. I am also the current Course rep and Student Ambassador for Biology so I will always be a welcoming and friendly face to listen to any feedback and am always here to help!

Hi, I’m Niamh, a first year Microbiology student.

As someone who thoroughly enjoyed their first year in FoBSoc and made some amazing friends, I am keen to be a president who provides the same experience I had to new and existing members. My goal as president would to be to continue to make FoBSoc a fun and inclusive society to be a part of by working closely with other committee members and taking suggestions from all society members. I aim to lead a society where everyone feels welcomed and supported. With the help of other committee members my main goals are to facilitate regular socials and provide support, both academic and social, to any society members that need it.

I'm all about making university the best experience possible and I’d love a chance to be president and make FoBSoc a key player in helping all of you have a great time at Leeds.

I believe that I am a friendly, chatty person with good communication and organisation skills that I will use to oversee the running of FobSoc and facilitate communication with the Union.
