I am currently a first year student studying Biology. I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and running. This year, being part of FoBSoc has been a great experience for me. As the welfare officer, I aim to ensure that everyone else enjoys it as much as I have and to create a welcoming atmosphere within the society.
My Aims are to:
• Support my fellow team members in their roles
• Promote Mental Health Awareness
• Ensure that society events, meetings, and initiatives are inclusive and welcoming to all members
• Advocate for the needs and concerns of society members
Seek regular feedback from members about their experiences and needs within the society. Use this feedback to continuously improve and tailor welfare initiatives to better meet the evolving needs of the membership.
My experience:
• Volunteer programme in Ghana (Nov 2023) - Teamwork and empathy
• First aid trained (2022) - crisis management and emergency response
• Ward support volunteer (2021) - mental wellness aid and compassionate care
• Several part time jobs (2021 - now) - organisation and time management
• Library volunteer - Leadership
