Representing my fellow peers has become an innate part of who I am having led our dental society this year as President. Joining LOMSS as the 4th year rep will mean that I can provide quality input about how this society can help benefit our year group, which is especially important as we begin learning more about oral surgery in the next year as we get closer to becoming a safe beginner. This role will enable me to bring my fresh and innovative ideas to the committee, along with turning these ideas into actions. As the 4th year rep, I pledge to: 1. Prioritise increasing involvement in LOMSS at every level, not just in 4th year. These would be events tailored specifically to students who want to learn more about oral medicine and surgery. 2. Help LOMSS communicate their ideas clearer to you. I will pass on messages of events that are being organised to the year group. Some of my accomplishments have been: President of Leeds Dentsoc 2021-22 Receiving recognition from the Professionalism Committee for facing adversity with integrity and professionalism. Exclusively awarded the Private Shearman Award by the SHARE trust for promoting peace and tolerance in society. Delivering Charity Day at Greenhead College, raising over £3000 for the mental health charity ‘CALM’. Fundraising for the Leonard Cheshire Disability Charity during a charity night for carehome residents and local community.
