Fencing has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember as I have been fencing for over 15 years. The community at Leeds Fencing is a vibrant one which I am glad to be a part of. Over the course of the year, I do not think I have missed a training session (even the 9 AM ones!) since I find them very beneficial and enjoyable.
Since I am an accounting and finance student, I feel like my skillset perfectly matches that of the position of treasurer. Not only do I study the subject, I have also garnered some professional experience during the summer. While interning at one of Egypt's biggest real estate developers, I learned some valuable skills such as managing budgets and working with excel.
As treasurer of the fencing club, my mission will be to strike a balance between an affordable membership and investment within the club. The University of Leeds fencing club boasts one of the cheapest membership prices with all the amenities offered by other universities. I hope that during my tenure as treasurer, no one willing to join the club will be deterred by its membership price. Additionally, I would like to reform our budget for the coming year. Allocating the right portion of the budget for kit, coaching, transportation, and other facets will be essential for the success of the club.
As a member of the committee, I will make sure that my decisions are in the best interest of the club as a whole. Furthermore, I plan on devoting my time to become the best treasurer I can be for the club. I am fully committed to my role and hope I can make a difference in the club for years to come.

As the fencing club is growing bigger and require more management, I would like help the club running in the next coming academic year. I am studying accounting and finance in Leeds university Business school therefore I would like to nominate myself for the treasurer as my major is related to this position which is managing budget and make club’s fund be More efficient. Wish I can do things helpful for the club next academic year because I really enjoy the time with Leeds university fencing family. Thank you beautiful people.
