This is by far one of the most rewarding but also one of the most challenging roles within the committee. This is the perfect role for someone who has a genuine passion for the club, members and its ethos. Your main role will be to ensure the smooth running of the club as a whole and as a result being responsible for everyone in the club. Essentially, you are the face of the club and as a result throughout the year you will have lots of contact with Leeds Sport and the LUU as well as being in correspondence with S&C coaches, committee and squad coaches (love those 6am or 11pm calls with Joan <3). You will have to be a very organised person with the ability to balance work, netball and this role throughout your time in this role. Delegating jobs is very important as all committee members have their own roles which they are required to do. You will have to support all committee members and offer help and advice where ever possible. During summer and in the run up to pre-seasons, there is lots of admin including the planning of pre-season, contacting prospective players, trial prep along with the event sec and organising welcome week. Luckily, you won’t have the task of fitting 30+ netballs in your house this time! If you’re thinking of going for this role, be prepared to get loads of emails and be on top of them.
