Hi, my name is Caitlin Smith and I'm really excited to be running for the president position! I'm a second year Food Science and Nutrition student with a passion for food (both eating it and studying it). I've loved being apart of the food society during my time at Leeds so far, all staff and students have always been so welcoming, warm and friendly, and as president I would love to continue this. I think that being apart of your own course's society is incredibly important as it allows you to meet people outside of lectures and labs and socialise with people who have similar interests. As president I would listen to all of your thoughts and opinions on the course, help with any issues and offer guidance to anyone in need! This year I have been to lots of the socials, where I've made lots of amazing friends and as president would love for the socials to continue to be as successful as they have been this year, therefore allowing all of you to have a great experience like I have had so far! If you vote for me, I will do my best to bring you another great year in the food science society!
