From Tom Vallance to Tom Pichon - The Tom Upgrade.

During my gap year, I worked in Marketing where my job was to create and post social media content - e.g Instagram posts, reels, TikToks etc.
I think I was quite good at that.

As the new secretary, I will:
- Utilise my experience in marketing to create interesting and engaging posts.
- Create a Squash TikTok account for GLOBAL outreach.
- Contribute unbelievable ideas for Squash Socials (Alumni Social? 👀).
- Engage more people into our Squash Community!

Lucas for Secretary

Hello Squash! I’m Lucas and I’m hoping to be your Secretary next year!

Why would I be good for this role?

First of all, I’m a chill person who is easy to get on with, approachable, and a good team player [as long as we’re not playing squash :) ].

I joined Squash this year not knowing anything about the sport, or knowing many people, but was quickly accepted into the society. I’ve loved getting involved this year, whether it be at socials, rec sessions, or by cheering on our teams, and I’d love the chance to make next year even better!

As a Geography student, my course is a total joke, so I’ll have plenty of time to help with committee. Tom Vallance has always been an idol of mine, and I am the sponge to his Secretary wisdom. The time has come for me to step into his shoes.

What do I hope to achieve?

A few things I’d like to change / improve:
1. Wednesday social post goes out by the weekend.
2. Communicate fixture details to whole society.
3. Promote weekend rec more, boost attendance.
Overall, I want to maintain the open and friendly community we’ve had this year and make sure Wednesday is the highlight of everyone’s week!
