Hello! I am Lottie, a second year International History and Politics student running for General Secretary.

My interests have been in decolonisation and feminist movements. I am particularly interested in transnational networks (such as Amnesty International!) and their roles in affecting change across history. I have been involved with the Amnesty International society for a year, and have seen the positive impact that it has made both within Leeds and more widely. Events such as Jamnesty help to build community whilst also supporting amazing causes and raising awareness and money for them.

I am excited to help Amnesty more in the coming year, and to be an even more committed member of not only the society but hopefully the committee. General Secretary plays to my strengths, as I spent many years as a Young Leader with Girl Guiding. This helped me to run meetings with those more rowdy than you, and to play a strong role in the behind the scenes action and making sure that everything ran smoothly. I am committed to the wellbeing of all involved with Amnesty, and want to create a space in which we can collaborate and support each other to create change.
