Hi everyone :) My name is Khaled Gadalla (he/him). I am a second-year mechanical engineering student and am nominating myself to run for events and campaigning coordinator.

I cannot wait to throw myself head first into this role and use my experience on last year’s committee as a general committee member to carry on the amazing work our previous committee has done to ensure this society keeps thriving and reaching as many people as possible.

I am running for committee again this year as I am extremely passionate about human rights and amplifying BIPOC voices. I understand the importance of continuing to share our unique stories and lived experiences and bringing our voices to the table in our continued fight for freedom for all. I am extremely passionate about LGBTQIA+ rights, as well as advocating against genocide wherever it may be. Lastly, I will continue to advocate for freedom of belief to combat the rampant islamophobia and anti-semitism in society.

Amnesty advocates for the voiceless and changes people’s lives. I would be honoured to continue being part of that change.
