Hey everyone,
I’m Lauretta, and I was one of the event managers for the last year's committee. The reason I joined the committee in the first place was because of the amazing connections I made through the Women/NB/QTBIPOC open decks last year, which naturally led me to oversee them when I became events manager, as I truly loved the atmosphere. This experience allowed me to play at beloved venues such as Sable Studio and Wharf Chambers. My main aim last year was to foster representation and inclusivity in society. As vice president, I would love to continue to do so by helping people who have an interest in electronic music or were initially apprehensive about becoming DJs gain confidence in the same way I was able to over the last year.

Hey, I'm Josh!

I event managed BPM last year, and DJ/produce mainly Hyperpop and Hard Dance - It was such a great experience and I really want to contribute more this year and that's why I've gone for vice president!

We've had a lot of positives this year from the open decks, socials, DJing and productions workshops, and I'd love to keep that going with even more input from members on what artists they want to hear breakdown tracks, to events they want us to collaborate with. The new events such as the BPM compilation EP produced entirely by our members and the launch party at Headrow House that was also an amazing experience!

As far as additions, I want to try and increase the QTIPOC+ and women representation, especially on the production side, I'll take input from other queer people/poc/women to make that happen, whether that is more engagement with local figures in these communities, or monthly production meetups for in-person collaboration to help people get started with producing. Diversity in experience leads to more varied genres, and events and genuinely makes the scene a better place, I will make sure BPM will contribute to that in any way we can!
