RocSoc is a fun and diverse society and, as President, I would strive to carry on this enjoyable environment for you all! I believe I would do well in this role as I am passionate, enthusiastic and eager to channel these personal attributes into the society to help it flourish in the year ahead. I would make it my number one aim to ensure every member feels included and enjoys all aspects of the society.
RocSoc has positively impacted my first-year university experience, providing me with the opportunity to make new friendships with likeminded people. I am therefore going to do everything I can to ensure members in the coming year can have the same positive experience. I will do this through notorious socials like fridge to fridge and Otley Runs but also through non-alcoholic activities such as quizzes and movie nights, making it an enjoyable and accessible society for all. I would also incorporate educational opportunities in order to provide members with experiences and skills to both aid their studies and develop their interests. One aspect of RocSoc I have enjoyed is getting creative and expressing myself and this is something I plan to carry through to the next year. I would collaborate with my team to safely introduce exciting new formal and informal opportunities to socialise and network with other RocSoc members.
Overall, I would work closely with all members of the committee to provide the best possible experience for all members and make 2025 a memorable year for RocSoc!
