PRESIDENT

To be President of the society, you must be confident in your ability to work in a team and be able to lead the team effectively in order for everything in the society to run smoothly. You will oversee everything that goes on, monitoring and managing the rest of the committee in their various roles, working with them to ensure you hit all deadlines and function as a cohesive society. You will need to be super organised as at times, such as in March when we have loads of events, comps and performances, it can get a bit hectic but if you manage the committee well and work together it all runs well. You should be wholeheartedly committed to the role, in order for the society to run properly and to give our members the best experience. Your role is also to do with the well-being of all members of the society, and to be generally around and a well-known face that anyone feels they can talk to or ask questions to. I usually do this by attending lots of classes whether in them or not and being friendly and chatty.  The main thing isn’t your dancing ability but rather your communication skills, confidence and friendliness. Through the setting of goals and objectives, you are always working towards something new and exciting, it is such a rewarding and fun experience; I would highly recommend!
