Hi Everyone! My name is Rizwan and I am a second year medical student, here at the University of Leeds. I am excited to express my enthusiastic interest in the Outreach Officer position with the Psychiatry Society.
As someone deeply passionate about mental health advocacy and community engagement, I am eager to contribute my skills and dedication to the society's mission of promoting understanding and support for mental health issues within our university community.
Throughout my academic journey and extracurricular involvement, I have cultivated a deep appreciation for the importance of fostering collaboration and communication across diverse groups. My experiences have equipped me with valuable skills in leadership, communication, and organization, which I am eager to apply in the role of Outreach Officer.

One of the key responsibilities of the Outreach Officer is to establish partnerships with other student organizations, academic departments, and community groups. I believe that collaboration is essential in amplifying our impact and reach in promoting mental health awareness. Furthermore, I recognize the importance of bringing expert insights and perspectives to our events and activities. As Outreach Officer, I am committed to reaching out to psychiatrists and mental health professionals to facilitate engaging talks, workshops, and panel discussions.
These events will not only enrich our members' understanding of psychiatry and mental health care but also provide valuable opportunities for dialogue and learning within our community.

Effective communication is essential in ensuring the success of our outreach efforts. With my strong organizational skills and attention to detail, I am well-equipped to manage email communications effectively. Whether it's coordinating event logistics, disseminating information to members, or responding to inquiries, I will ensure timely and professional communication that enhances the society's visibility and engagement.

In addition to my qualifications, I am deeply committed to promoting mental health awareness and destigmatizing conversations surrounding mental illness. I believe that everyone deserves access to support and resources for their mental well-being, and I am dedicated to contributing to the Psychiatry Society's efforts in creating a supportive and inclusive community where individuals feel empowered to seek help and support.

Hello everyone! I’m Amar, a second year medic. I have a growing interest in Psychiatry through personal and professional experience and I would love to be your Outreach Officer!

I have fantastic organisational skills and I am an effective communicator. I have successful experience in networking at a variety of events, both in-person and online. I hope to support Psyched’s continued success in bringing on a range of inspiring speakers in the field of psychiatry for talks and panel discussions as well as to collaborate with societies across the university to support your personal and professional development!
