Namaste, my name is Shyam Mistry, and I am currently studying biomedical sciences at the University of Leeds. I believe I have the skills necessary to fit the role of President for NHSF Leeds.
Being the Sanskaar/seva coordinator this year has allowed me to plan and deliver session on a weekly basis. This experience has helped to develop my organisational and time management skills.
I believe I possess excellent communication skills, which I had displayed at the Bradford Jagruti event, where I had given a talk and delivered it in a way in which people with varying levels of knowledge understood.
Hosting the mehfil event this year allowed me to develop leadership and problem-solving skills as I had to make sure that the event ran smoothly and, in moments of adversity, make key decisions that would affect the success of the event.
Thus, I believe I would be the perfect candidate for President.

Hi, my name is Bipasha and I am studying Law at the University of Leeds. I feel I have many of the necessary skills to be the next NHSF president. I am organised, dedicated, have excellent communication skills and am very friendly and approachable. I want to create a space for Hindu students to have a place to celebrate and engage with those of the same faith in a welcoming environment. Through being the First-year representative, I have been able to gain a strong understanding of the workings of the society. I had to act as a support to the committee including helping organise the charity raffle and hosting the Mehfil event. For the upcoming year I want to organise a wider range of events as well as collaborating with other societies for smaller scale events such as the yoga society and the Buddhist Meditation Society to give our members some new experiences alongside other societies that share many of the same values.
