Hi guys, my name is Gift, and I recently joined KDS in my second semester after the GIAG session. From my first session, I was blown away by the dedication and friendliness within KDS, and I am hoping to continue that atmosphere as your secretary. KDS has been one of the most engaging parts of my first year and that drives me to contribute more to the society. I believe I am the best person for the job for various reasons. Firstly, as Project manager for my local charity, I was required to keep a record of all meetings that the team had and answer any queries my team members or the public would have about our work. This has enabled me to have significant experience in organising, coordinating, and maintaining a large group of people – like KDS. Furthermore, I am hardworking, dedicated, and a proficient writer, hence I am confident that I will always accomplish the tasks expected of me. With excellent teamwork skills from my seven years as a netball player, I will be able to work collaboratively with the rest of the committee to enhance KDS. I have met friends within KDS whilst being able to explore different genres of dance within the K-pop industry. I have grown as a dancer, but more importantly as a person, and I would love to be able to provide this experience for new and returning members.

Hello, my name is Christie, and I am running for KDS’s Secretary for the next academic year!
Who am I?
First of all, I am first year business management student, which means I have more time to work on KDS’s tasks compared to the year 3 situation. I am a 10-year-old K-pop fan, and as you can see, my favourite artists are Ateez, Seventeen, BTS and 2PM, but not limit to them obviously, being an old k-pop fan not only supports me to be passionate on every task in KDS, but also being able to help other committee members to organize different types of activities and provide available ideas in the future. I am also a KDS core group member since Semester 2, so the interactions among committee and core group members actually support me to understand more about KDS operation.
Experiences?
I had 3-year urban dance experiences, and started to learn k-pop dance by myself since in elementary school. I also organized ‘Fire’ stage performance by BTS with 12 members in High school, including teaching, creating formations, light and speaker checking and so on. And this year, I also performed in showcase as one of the Boy Group Team member.
Why apply for secretary?
To be honest, I had gained so many experiences on the stage, but I understand KDS would not working if any committee member failed to take their responsibilities. And I feel being Secretary is the best opportunity to observe every tasks and gain experiences. I want to challenge myself in the society I fell in love with. I also had some new ideas about making the newsletter more interesting and easier to understand for the members, this will also be a super useful opportunity to execute my ideas into the reality.
