Hi everyone!!
My name is Akshita Arya, and I’ll be running for the Treasurer of KDS! I’m a first-year business management with marketing student. I have been dancing since I was 15 years old, I have tried various dance forms including a bit of hip-hop and Bollywood. I have been into K-pop since late 2016 and my ult groups are Ateez, BTS, Wayv(nct) and Enhypen.
I have been involved with KDS since last year as an active member. KDS has given me so many memories and an opportunity to meet so many amazing people in such a short amount of time. My main objectives as the treasurer would be:
• To help the society with the future finances while making sure the committee and other members are fully satisfied with the help provided.
• General overseeing of the budget and timely reporting the records.
• Present the committee with account details and basic financial statements while maintaining enough transparency.

I personally think I am capable and suitable for this role as I believe I have good communication and negotiation skills with a good sense of being able to follow protocols while being considerate. I have always considered myself a person with efficient leadership skills and hence according to me that adds on to my skills required to represent this role, I also am a very disciplined and goal-oriented individual who's always willing to learn something new.

Lastly, If I am elected as the treasurer of KDS some of my personal objectives would also include:
• Building healthy and in-depth relationship with my fellow committee members as it will help in the smooth and happy functioning of the society.
• Being there for my fellow committee and all the members of KDS in case they need help with anything related to the society.

Hi, my name is Dini. You will probably know me from the demos and tutorials. This year, I am a part of core group. I was already with the society since day 1 back in 2018, prior to it being officially under LUU. With my experience in handling KDS from before, and having the previous and current committees as examples, I believe I do have what it takes to be a good Treasurer for KDS. I also have the experience working with LUU, which I think is an added point. Apart from my excessive love towards money, I am also very good with number and management. Perks of being an engineer they say. KDS is more than just a place for me to dance my heart out, it is also where I took a very big step to do something that I never imagine on doing. I met a lot of awesome people, some that I believe will be my lifetime friends and I know, I will keep meeting awesome people in the future. I promise to give my very best to work with the upcoming committees, to provide a good experience for all KDS members, you can trust me on this. Hey guys! I am Chloe, a 2nd year Psychology student running for your treasurer of KDS this year. Through joining KDS, I’ve met a lot of wonderful people who are passionate about the same things as me. Although it was a scary initial experience, I was grateful that everyone was very welcoming, and I would like everyone to have the same experience as I did. I am really grateful to have been involved with Intercomp, Showcase and Nationals this academic year. Something I was unfamiliar with, but through this experience it made me realise how much I like dancing, and I would like to encourage others to get involved and dance more. In addition, lockdown last year has withheld me from fully participating in KDS events. Therefore, for my last year, I want to be more involved in the society and help make it an even better experience for new and current members. I'm familiar with working with others in a group, which would enhance my ability to communicate with other committee members. I am organised and devoted to managing the finances for KDS, enabling studio bookings and many future events to occur, as well as budgeting costs used for competitions and shows. I aim to increase the fundings received by the society through fundraising events, to ensure we have more funds to provide for KDS events. I understand what is entitled of me as treasurer to do, and I am committed to the role to provide the best for eveyone part of KDS. I hope I can meet you all as your treasurer next year!
