Hello! I’m Aadhiran, studying Economics and Finance. I’ve played for the NHSF Leeds football and kho teams for the past two years, currently play for Sheffield Shadows in the Kho Premier League, and have also played academy football. One of the highlights for me was stepping in as goalkeeper for our football squad and helping us win the regionals in Leicester.

If elected, I’ll organise regular sessions, give more recognition to sports like cricket, badminton, and netball, and bring in focused training to help us bring the regional cup back to Leeds. I also want to help people discover what sport suits them best and make sure everyone has the chance to get involved, try something new, and just enjoy the experience. I’m all about creating a fun, inclusive vibe where everyone can work together and make unforgettable memories.

I study Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE), and I’m excited to apply for the role of Sports Representative for the Hindu Society. Sport has always been a central part of my life, and I believe I can bring both experience and enthusiasm to this role. Since a young age, I’ve played football for a team, developing not only technical skills but also a strong sense of teamwork and coordination—qualities that are key to organising successful sports events and encouraging participation.

Alongside football, I’ve been involved in kho from my Sunday school days, where I was also captain of our team. That role taught me leadership, responsibility, and how to motivate others—especially when balancing the fun side of sport with competitive spirit. At university, I continue to play five-a-side football regularly, and I’m always eager to try new sports and broaden my skills. My love for sport isn’t limited to the pitch; it’s also about the connections and energy it brings to a community.

I’ve also had the opportunity to represent and compete in Hindu sports events in London, including attending the National Hindu Sports Competition, which gave me a deeper appreciation for how sport can unite people within our cultural and spiritual traditions. These experiences have inspired me to help bring that same energy to our society—creating inclusive, fun, and active events for everyone to enjoy. I believe my background, passion, and leadership experience make me a strong candidate for Sports Rep, and I’d love the chance to bring fresh ideas and commitment to the role.
