Hey guys! I’m running for president cause I genuinely love our culture and community and want to add and elevate it even more next year. As a Hindu myself, I’ve been brought up with these traditions and values and I’m passionate about sharing them in a way that feels meaningful and fun for everyone.

I have tons of plans to make our events more fun, our vibes stronger and our society a place where everyone feels at home!

I am friendly and easy to talk to so if you ever have any ideas, questions or simply just want to chat - I’ll be there. I want the society to be an open space and feel like family so everyone feels included.

I am committed to run new events this year and build a strong connection with other societies and universities so think fun socials, chill hangouts, cultural nights and many more opportunities.

Hi! I’m Shubo and I’m currently a third year medical student going into fourth year.

I am passionate about meeting new people and building meaningful connections. Over the years, I've gained valuable experience in public speaking and networking. As your president, I’ll be here to support you in every way I can, whether that's tackling issues head on or simply being someone you can talk to. I’m approachable, friendly and always happy to help.

Though I was new to the society, I felt truly welcomed by our members. Since joining, I’ve regularly attended events and sports practice sessions, and I’m committed to giving back. I want others to feel that same warmth, so I’m very enthusiastic about expanding our reach and ensuring Hindu Society remains an open and supportive space for Hindu students.

One of my main goals is to strengthen our sense of community. Through weekly chai latte sessions or themed dinners, I’d love to foster a space that is engaging and inclusive for everyone. I’d also like to collaborate with other societies, such as Mallu and Tamil Soc, to offer our members new and diverse experiences alongside others who share many similar values. I believe spiritual and personal development are just as important as physical activity, which I plan to build on by training with other universities.

Growing up, Hinduism has been a deeply positive and inspiring force in my family. I see Hindu Society as more than just a community, it’s a family that’s always there for you. University life can sometimes feel lonely, and I want to help every member feel a sense of belonging and see our society as a place they can genuinely call home. I’ve built strong friendships with the current committee. It would be a real honour to continue the path they’ve set and grow our society together.
