Hi everyone! I’m Jenn, and I’m excited to run for Chief Editor to help shape engaging, inclusive, and visually impactful content for WILS.

As the current Marketing Coordinator for the Behind Her Success subcommittee, I’ve worked closely with the Social Media Director and have developed a strong understanding of WILS’ brand voice, colours, fonts, and writing style. I’ve learned how to stay on-brand while still bringing fresh, creative ideas to every post. I also understand the importance of writing engaging captions and clear, thoughtful text that truly connects with our audience.

Through my role on the podcast team, I’ve gained valuable communication experience—liaising with the Podcast Director, meeting guests, and creating weekly posting timelines with the Social Media Director. These experiences have prepared me to manage and coordinate content effectively.

Outside of WILS, I’ve worked on personal and commissioned design projects like album covers and promotional materials. I’m also growing my own creative platform, where I explore content creation using tools like Canva, Procreate, and CapCut, all of which have strengthened my eye for design and storytelling.

If elected, I’ll bring:
- Fun, easy-to-read newsletters
- Aesthetic, eye-catching designs
- Creative new features such as QnA sections with WILS members
- A thoughtful approach to leading the Inclusion Journal

I’m based in Leeds for both semesters and ready to bring fresh ideas, creativity, and consistency to the role.

I'm a second year Economics student hoping to put myself out there a bit more in my final year. I would like to switch up the newsletter next year - including introducing a new section that celebrates members' achievements and creating a fun, but informative monthly update. I have experience in handling and compiling large amounts of information, and have built my communication skills over the past few years - which is why I think I'm perfectly suited to this role! As a second-year English Literature with Creative Writing student, I thrive in contrasts—both loud and quiet, extroverted and introspective. Whether it’s crafting compelling narratives or fine-tuning articles as an editor, I understand the power of words to connect, inform, and inspire.

With experience as a News Editor at Gryphon and a Writer for The State of the Arts, I know how to turn information into engaging, high-quality content while meeting deadlines without losing creativity.

As Chief Editor, I will redefine the WILS newsletter and Inclusion Journal, transforming them into vibrant, thought-provoking spaces that amplify diverse voices and keep members engaged. From innovative storytelling formats to collaborative features with event directors and the social media team, I’m committed to making WILS publications as dynamic and inspiring as its members.

Hello everyone! My name is Elin Woodhead, and I’m running for the position of Newsletter Editor for the Women in Leadership Society. As a Business Management with Marketing student, and a current Marketing Representative for my accommodation, I have developed strong digital communication and marketing skills, and I am excited to bring this knowledge to connect and empower the WILS community.🌟

The three main goals I would focus on as Newsletter Editor are:

1. Industry and Alumni Voices - I aim to feature insights from women in diverse industries and WILS Alumni to give members real-world advice and inspiration to help navigate their leadership paths

2. Consistent, Interactive Content - Expect regular, engaging newsletters with Q&As and themes to connect the society, and create a space that reflects your voices and encourages active participation

3. Stronger Promotion - I will collaborate with the Social Media Manager to build a stronger presence and make the newsletter more visible, accessible and exciting across key platforms such as TikTok and LinkedIn, as well as email marketing


I am ready to bring creativity, consistency and collaboration to this role. With your support, we can build a newsletter that celebrates our successes and achievements which reflects the power and potential of women in leadership! 💪
