Hey everyone! I’m Amal Muneer, a second-year LLB Law student and the current Corporate and External Relations member of WILS. I’m running to be your Head of Podcasting for 2025/26, and I’m excited to bring fresh energy, creative ideas, and meaningful conversations to Behind Her Success.🎙️

Storytelling has always helped me make sense of the world – whether through personal experiences or honest conversations that spark something deeper. It’s something I do on a daily basis with my friends and family, turning everyday moments into reflections or stories worth sharing. Now, I want to bring that same passion to a platform I truly care about.

My passion for women’s empowerment stems from growing up as an Indian woman in the UAE, where gender expectations shaped my path. As the only daughter in my family, I’ve constantly had to push past limits. Moving abroad to pursue my degree was a major step that brought challenges like culture shock and imposter syndrome. Yet, I chose to face these head-on, attending events, building networks, and learning from setbacks, all while gaining real insight into navigating professional spaces as a woman.

WILS has been a key part of this journey. Having already contributed to the team and being an avid listener of the podcast for tips and tricks, I truly understand the value of this platform – and I’m excited to help shape its next chapter. 🩷

My Vision for Behind Her Success:
🎧 Student Spotlight Episodes – Bi-weekly features that highlight not just success stories, but also the imposter syndrome, rejections, and real-life setbacks that people have overcome on their journey. The road to success is rarely linear, and those stories matter too.
🤝 Interactive Segments – Q&As, co-hosted episodes with students, and open calls for stories – because leadership and storytelling should be collaborative.
🌍 Cross-Society Collaborations – Partnering with societies, faculty members, and EDI groups to amplify diverse perspectives across campus.
💼 Professional Insights – Using the network I’ve built to bring in female professionals, alumni, and society leaders to share their real-world advice and journeys.

Hi, I’m Valeria – an enthusiastic 1st Year Business Management with Marketing student, content creator, and passionate storyteller. I’m running to be your next Podcast Director because I truly believe in the power of authentic voices, shared stories, and creating spaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and empowered!

Being part of WILS and attending events like the flagship ‘Empower Conference’ have been some of the highlights of my university experience so far. I’m excited to bring my passion for marketing to the role, using it to grow our podcast’s reach, attract new listeners, and inspire more students to get involved with the WILS community and the Behind Her Success podcast.

With over 2.5K followers on TikTok, a growing YouTube presence, and 500+ professional connections on LinkedIn, I understand how to engage audiences, create meaningful content, and build a thriving community. My multicultural background – being half Bulgarian and half Moldovan – fuels my love for learning about different cultures and amplifying diverse perspectives.

In addition to my content creation, I’ve led teams through various STEM and business competitions, gaining valuable experience in collaboration, strategy, and leadership. As a future manager in the making, I’m genuinely excited by the opportunity to work alongside a passionate subcommittee to drive meaningful change, foster creativity, and empower others through the Behind Her Success podcast.

If elected, I promise to bring creativity, consistency, and connection to every episode. I will:
-> Improve audience engagement through live Q&As and interactive polls because I want to bridge the gap between the mic and the audience by ensuring listeners can shape the content and truly feel part of the conversation.

-> Produce innovative content like ‘fail-HER stories’ where we showcase that the road to leadership isn’t linear and highlight the challenges, setbacks and resilience behind success. In addition, I plan on launching themed series like ‘Women in Tech Month’ or ‘Entrepreneurship Month’ to spotlight different industries and journeys in a focused and creative way.

-> Expand impact and reach, collaborating with alumni, building our presence on platforms like YouTube Shorts, and ensuring our message travels far and wide. This is because it isn’t just about recording episodes- it’s about making an impact worldwide.

I don’t just want to be Podcast Director-I want to transform the podcast into a dynamic, community-driven space that educates, empowers, and elevates.

Together, we can create something bigger- we can build a legacy of stories that matter.

Hi everyone! I’m Vaibhavi Shekar (to most via :D), a second-year Media and Communications student with a passion for storytelling, big conversations, and even bigger ideas. I’m energetic, extroverted, and endlessly curious and I’m ready to bring that energy to the WILS “Behind Her Success” podcast.

Empower. Encourage. Inspire.
These words come to mind when talking about the WILS podcast. As a listener, I’ve found motivation and insight in every episode. Now, I want to build on that foundation and take the podcast to the next level.

My vision for the podcast:
I want to use this platform to promote honest, diverse, and meaningful conversations. One idea I’m excited about is introducing a new segment that explores the pressure of falling behind in university. The burnout, the imposter syndrome, the quiet struggles no one talks about. Because success isn’t always a straight line, and leadership isn’t always loud.

I also want to expand our conversations with industry leaders. As a humanities student myself, I’d love to spotlight powerful individuals across the arts, sciences, entrepreneurial, and nonprofit sectors—people whose stories don’t always get the spotlight but absolutely should.

At its core, my vision is to create a space where leadership in all its forms is given a moment to shine. From bold boardroom voices to quiet changemakers—those who prove that a leader isn’t born, but made.

As Head of Podcasting, I’ll keep the content fresh and consistent and work closely with the social media team to create something our listeners genuinely look forward to!
