Hiiii,
Although it has only been for a short time, I have absolutely loved being your outreach officer, and I would be so sad if I could not continue. While it may not seem like I have done much, Lots of things have been going on behind the scenes, and lots of projects are on the go.

- I have established an ongoing set of collaborative events with the Language
zone.
- I pushed for and have been involved in some very exciting meetings about the
introduction of a discovery module in BSL for next academic year ( the
progress is looking very promising !!)
- I am currently in the process of applying for a grant that would fund a scheme
providing you guys with signature courses.

Next year I plan to ;

- Oversee the Signature level 1 and 2-course scheme
- Organise more outreach charity events with the local Deaf community and or
local schools.
- Organise a diverse set of collaborations based on member interests.
- Bring in a variety of speakers knowledgeable about aspects of BSL and Deaf
culture ( I am already in contact with some really cool people !)

This summer, I am also starting my level 3 in BSL and am so excited to share the knowledge I gain with you and hopefully become a bit better at interpreting 😂.
