Please read this page carefully as it includes important information regarding your Give It A Go, what is required from you and how to receive funding.

Give it a Go (GIAG) is a programme of inclusive and accessible activities which runs in Terms 1, 2 and 3 each academic year. Any society is invited to run a GIAG session, which will introduce students to their group/activity. The aim of the Give it a Go programme is to provide students with the opportunity to try something new and engage with an activity they may not typically participate in.

The GIAG programme provides a great platform for societies to showcase their activities, by providing students with the opportunity to take part in a one-off session. GIAGs are also a great way to attract new members throughout the year. Groups who participate in the programme may be eligible for up to £150 incentive funding in each semester.

You can find more information on the application process for a GIAG session in Term 1 from the following guide: How to: GIAG Term 1.

You can submit your GIAG session application using the following form: Give It A Go Term 1.

We strongly encourage all GIAG sessions to be free, but if it is not, please complete the following form so that we can upload your tickets: GIAG Paid Ticket Requests. Please also fill out this form if you have capacity restrictions and need tickets to be made available to monitor this.

IMPORTANT: In order to allocate the correct funding, please ensure you collect the following information from your GIAG attendees:

  • Full name
  • Student ID number
  • Email address

This needs to be sent to activities@leeds.ac.uk once your GIAG session has occurred.

If you have any questions, please contact your Development & Engagement Officer or activities@leeds.ac.uk.
