Industry Talks and Workshops
Throughout the year, there will be many opportunities for members to meet industry professionals and learn from specialised workshops in topics from across the spectrum of advertising, marketing, and PR, from digital marketing to get your first job in the industry. Furthermore, expect Industry panels, Mentoring schemes, networking opportunities, personal branding, and exciting career events throughout the year. You also get a chance to be involved in Q&A sessions with top employers!
AMP is all about bringing together people from different backgrounds to share ideas, and our socials, are built around this. We’ve got a wide range of socials planned for the year so that our members can mix whatever their preferences. Alongside our regular biweekly socials, we’ll be celebrating the completion of our members’ projects.
An exciting chance for all members to work on projects in partnership with local charities, societies, and organisations to aid their marketing activities. We’ve been working alongside 6 Leeds-based businesses over the summer to put together real marketing briefs catered to different skillsets and commitment levels for teams of AMP members to tackle and will be providing new briefs as the year goes on. In addition, we have recently taken over Digi, a graduate run-Micro agency which is a joint venture between LUU and the award-winning Digital marketing agency Epiphany. The idea was to use the Digi brand for the project side of AMP as an 'in-house agency' within the society for students who want to get hands-on with real-world marketing projects.
Whether you’d like to oversee creating a social media campaign from start to finish for Graft Talent, conduct market research and SEO analysis for Flavr, or modernise the brand of long-established Leeds charity Learning Partnerships, there will be a place on one of our project teams for you. Just speak to a committee member at our next event and we’ll get you involved!
