Event Description

The Undergraduate Research Experience (UGRE) is an annual celebration of the fantastic work of our Arts, Humanities and Cultures (AHC) undergraduate students. This drop-in session at the Fresh Start Festival will give you the opportunity to find out more about the UGRE and we will also be running some fun research-related activities.

Our ELEVENTH event takes place 21-25 February 2022 via Teams.

The UGRE in February will feature a mix of snap five-minute presentations ranging from topics as varied as Parkour as Performance, to a creative response to the murder of Sarah Everard, Decolonisation and the Mau Mau Emergency to representations of disabled people in journalism. We are also hosting a series of panels and workshops including one run in collaboration with the Plus Programme on barriers to postgraduate study and a turning your research into a 'Zine workshop. We are also delighted to welcome back our Art and Design panel; this year's theme is Body and Identity.

Although the UGRE presenters are AHC students, everyone is welcome to attend.
