Event Description

For our first film night, we'll be celebrating Black History Month with a showing of the 2014 film 'Selma' in the University Union. Directed by Ava DuVernay, 'Selma' is a historical drama based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting marches. You can watch the trailer here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B74p2yHUHHQ. Please be aware while this film is rated PG-13, it does include scenes of racial violence and the use of racially charged language.

The film will begin at 7.30pm in Room 5 in LUU (the room will be open from 7pm). Please feel free to bring your own snacks or there will be snacks and drinks available to buy on the night.
