I've always loved event planning, which I always end up doing in my free time. Due to the mix of my outgoing and partially stingy nature, I'll be able to keep within budget without lessening any of the fun, allowing more events to occur. Knowing half of the following year's food science committee well and being the type of person to respond fast, I believe that I can organise the team well and efficiently by having the ability to utilise everybodys' best skills. I'd say my best quality feature for being president would be my sheer number of ideas and ways to integrate people; EXAMPLES OF EVENTS would include:
Using my access to candy floss, crepe and ice cream machines, I'd start the year with a cheap festival themed party with many games (e.g. dodgeball) to allow people to get to know one another (this might move on to drinking games later in the day )
During next year's Otley run: different years would be dressed up as different themes to allow the first years to know which other first years there are (e.g. 1st yrs are veg, 2nd yrs fruit etc.). Halfway through the pub crawl, I'd make groups of 3 for those who, instead of pints or mixers, would want to opt to have a single shot from 3 for £5 deals.

These are just a few of the many ideas I have had. I would be keeping old events like the club nights.
Being a realist, I can tell if an idea is going to work and can be blunt when needed. Finally, I have an excellent eye for when it comes to posters, and I know how to help make them eye-catching.
