Treasurer

Hello! My name is Max and I have been a chemistry student at the University of Leeds for the past 3 years. During my second year, I held the position of football sports secretary on the chemistry committee but Covid measures limited the potential that this role had to offer. Returning to Leeds from a sandwich placement for my final year of studying, I would love to have a position of responsibility on the committee to further my involvement with one of the best societies at the university. With my combination of academic and industrial experience, I believe I’m an ideal candidate for Treasurer of the Chemistry Society. There are many skills that make a good treasurer, namely an individual who is trustworthy, impartial, and comfortable working with figures. I am confident I have this skillset. Further to these capabilities, it is imperative the society treasurer will be efficient, responsible and a team-player. Having gained this experience through running payroll reports, carrying out DBS checks, and issuing contracts all to strict deadlines, I am prepared for the role. During the next academic year my goal is to take full advantage of the unrestricted society that has ceased during our recent years, through regular fundraisers and full attendance at all committee and society events, with the principal aim to enhance your experience as a member of this great society.
