My goal for Nepalese society is to grow our community! I would like to host more events, reaching out to a greater amount of students at the university with events celebrating our diverse and interesting culture. I hope to create a welcoming and friendly environment for anyone interested in joining our society!

I have much enjoyed working on the committee this year and have learnt a lot about the organisation involved in running the society. Being a committee member has also helped me to enhance my teamwork and communication skills. In developing these skill sets, I believe that my time on the committee has prepared me well for a more involved leadership role and has provided me with a valuable set of transferable skills which I hope to bring to this role.

Manifesto

Dear University of Leeds Nepalese Society members,

It’s with extreme joy to inform you that I am announcing my candidacy for the post of the President of NepSoc.

I have always been keen about participating in activities that promote teamwork and community service and it would be an honour to serve as a president to such a prestigious organisation and represent the Nepalese community and its identity at Leeds.

As a president, I would like to make sure that funds are utilised in the best possible way while being transparent with our members, increase the number of formal committee meeting and social events to establish good communication, sharing of ideas and develop a healthy bonding between the members. Next on my agenda would be to promote our society here at Leeds encouraging more members to join.

I look forward to your valuable votes and help achieve my agendas for this year.
