Hi, I'm Harshi, I'm currently a third year student pursuing my degree in Medicine here at Leeds.
Having been the Vice President for my previous university's Editorial Board, as well as having been the treasurer for the English Language society, I've gained valuable knowledge on planning events, creating and facilitating budgets as well as ensuring that all events run smoothly.
As treasurer of the Spoken Word Society, I aim to facilitate an environment in which money does not have to be a deciding factor in the pursuit of creativity.
I plan on achieving this by:
1. Applying for grants available by the LUU
2. Setting clear budgets at the start of the year as well as creating an action plan on any fundraising events that may be necessary.
3. Working with the rest of the team to ensure that there are no financial hiccups.

I'm passionate and eager to be part of a team with great, creative artists. I have been told that making puns in an election is very hit or miss but I'm hoping that my statement alone is Thoreau enough.
